Hello! Welcome to Weighty Words, my online portfolio and personal blog.

I’m Rich. I used to call myself a writer. I used to write poems and stories.

I stopped writing around the time my mother got hospitalized. No, scratch that. I stopped writing poems and stories when she got hospitalized. Instead, I wrote letters to God, begging Him to make my mother better. When she died, I stopped writing altogether.

Now, I think I’m ready to go back to writing. I’m ready to be a writer once again. I want to write poetry again. I want to write stories again, too.

I don’t want to make empty promises, especially with what I can offer. However, I want to try my best to pick the right words, words that prick, words that pique. I want to weigh them so that they might carry enough weight and sink into your consciousness, get lodged there, and hopefully, inspire you to do the same.
