A Prayer for my Mother

I haven’t been posting anything for a while because my mother is sick. I’d like to say that I am busy taking care of her, but I can’t really say that. I’m busy going to work so that I can earn money to pay for the hospital bills.

In posting this, I hope that you’ll get to read my request: please pray for my mother, who is battling her failing kidneys.

Her first attending physician didn’t sound hopeful. The words “dialysis” and “transplant” dropped from his lips already. Now, my mother is in the country’s charity hospital, and the same words have already been said.

I really don’t have that kind of money, and I don’t want to ask for that kind of help. That would mean that she really has a disease. Instead, I ask that you pray for her disease to go away.

If you’re Catholic, please pray the novena to St. Jude. I already owe a lot of answered prayers to him, and he’s been kind enough to intercede before. He might be willing to help me again. If you’re not Catholic, any prayer for her healing will be much appreciated. I really believe in the power of prayer, especially when a lot of people pray for the same thing.

With all my heart, I am already thankful to you for reading and catering to my request.
